It works pretty well with your Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive. 30$ is pretty steep for a basic injector (with a straight-forward UI sure).Vireo Perception is the only free alternative at the moment if you want to play your normal games in 3D. In fact as I just mentioned, it’s pretty obvious that such a solution should have been open-source, this is the only to run these kinds of project because of all the challenge it applies on a per-game basis. I abandoned using VorpX too because of the time I had to waste fine-tuning or finding scripts/plists to even have the obvious, correct focale, FOV, scale solution. I remember testing it with HL2, the result was so much obviously crap and unusable as such for anyone who would want to play it, that I understand people saying it doesn’t do what it says out-of-the-box. My point being that when you create any sorts of emulator, meaning your are not using a native solution but an emulated adaptation, it goes without saying that you’ll have to fine-tune the base settings of each game so that the experience is correct on 80% of hardware (between the Oculus and Vive it’s not that hard). In fact I’d rather compare it to an emulator…which they’re far from even though it’s a paid solution. It’s the best injector, which does not make it great. The Optimizer can also undo the adjustments with just a click, for when you want to switch back to your non-VR settings. 90+ games are said to support the automatic optimizations, and have seen improved and expanded settings profiles to take advantage of the new feature.
